Price List 2008:

SPANISH PROGRAM: Group courses consist of four hours per day intensive language study from Monday to Friday, offered mornings and afternoons. Prices include course and registration fees for both the Heredia and the Sámara Beach campus, textbook, and materials.
Classes containing only 1 student may be reduced to 3 hours per day instead of 4. Exceptions may apply for academic credit candidates, and/or at the discretion of the program director.

NOTE: Please see NATIONAL and SCHOOL HOLIDAYS at the end of this page, for the days on which classes will not be held at Intercultura. There are no discounts for the weeks that contain a holiday day. Those which fall on weekends do not affect your stay. Holidays that fall between Tuesday and Thursday may be moved to Friday in order to give a long weekend. Homestays are not affected.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Homestays (7 nights) in Heredia and Sámara include breakfast, dinner, laundry facilities and private room. In the Sámara Beach hotel campus option (5 nights only), a light breakfast is included, and accommodations are shared.

OTHER: Weekend excursions and additional cultural activities are offered at a small cost. Friends and family are welcome to join us for these when space permits.


PAYMENT METHOD:
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Program fees may be paid upon arrival at Intercultura in US dollars, Euros, Costa Rican colones, Visa or Master card, traveler's cheques or international money order. If paying by cheques, please make out to:
Centro de Idiomas Intercultura if you are starting at the Heredia city campus, or
Sámara Language School if you are starting at the Sámara beach campus.

Reservations will be guaranteed with a credit card number or a 20% deposit. No refunds are given after the program has begun, except in the case of a documentable emergency, in which case 50% of the unused portion of the fees may be returned at the discretion of the administration.

Please note that per-week prices are discounted for longer stays, providing all weeks are registered and paid for at the beginning of the program. Extensions made after the program has begun will not be given discounted rates, but will be charged at the basic 1-week rate of $270. After the first 4 weeks, however, all extensions are given at the discounted rate of $199/week (classes).

START DATES: Classes start every Monday, except when school is closed for a National Holiday, in which case classes will start on the Tuesday.

IMPORTANT

AIRPORT PICK UP INFORMATION (LIBERIA INT'L AIRPORT):
If you chose to have the school pre-arrange transportation with a provider from Sámara, they will be at the airport at the time and day you indicate. If you do not arrive on this time/day, for whatever reason, you will be charged the full amount of the pickup, to be paid directly to the taxi, as he will have already made the journey to the airport. NOTE: If you prefer not to be potentially responsible for this charge, you should NOT choose to have airport pickup, but rather take an airport taxi directly, which will cost approximately $100.


HOTEL INFORMATION (PLAYA SÁMARA):
If you have chosen hotel accommodations, to guarantee your reservation you will need to send us your credit card number and expiration date. If you do not cancel at least 3 days before arrival, you will be charged a penalty fee of $45.
